Ok, so I bought a scope from someone who, for this moment in time, will remain nameless.
arrived last weekend, unpacked it, looked through it and....
Crosshairs were in 3 seperate units and not joined in the middle. No chance of zero'ing them in.
wasn't too fussed as it didn't cost that much and it came with mounts.
Checked the mounts and found them to be quite chewed up (looked like they had been done up too tight previously).
contacted the seller and explained the situation, said I would like a refund and a return address. Aquired the return address and have been waiting all week for my refund. Still no money. Contacted the seller again today about the lack of refunded money in my account and said that as soon as the money was returned I would post the scope back (at my own expense).
I was promptly told that it doesn't work like that and I would hve to send the scope back and wait for him to inspect it before being given my money back, which ment me being minus my money and a scope.
You can imagine my response.
I'm an honest person and would just like to be treated with a little respect, not messed around and treated like some scammer.
I'm not saying he deliberatly sold it to me knowing it was damaged, because I dont think he would do that. But in my eyes, he has my hard earned money nd I have something that couldn't even be used as a door stop!
What would you do?

well it could have broke in post so you cant really blame him, mounts poorly described, give them 24 hours to sort it

Half the money now half the money when he recieves the scope back? Or take plenty of photos of the scope and mounts and the problems you're having with them, ie broken croshairs and chewed mounts, show them to him and ask for your full refund and you'll send it recorded delivery tomorrow.
