Hi i have for sale if any one is interested

KAWASAKI KX65 Water Cooled
in need of minor repair.

I brought the bike several months back with the intention of fixing it up for my young kids
BUT a new recent hobby ( shooting ) has taken over so i now have no interest nor time nor funds to complete.

The KX Needs

Needs new Piston & sleeve £28 off flea-bay
Needs New Head Bearings £20 off Flea-bay

An all over fettle & Tidy Up

Frame Has been repainted Custom Dark Blue


Bike is a full rolling chassis with engine already out of the bike on the bench ready to have a
new piston kit put it..

Previous owner had done a bottom end rebuild bearings prior to me having it, seals and so on.

Also has A full FMF Race exhaust from front to back.

This bike absolutly fly's and is full on power with the front end coming up in almost every gear.

Ideall winter prodject for little money..

Open to offers around £100
will need to be collected from Birmingham, small enough to go in the boot of a car with the seats down
i had it in the back of my Subaru Estate with ease.

hi mate,
interested,but just looked on the bay and the cheapest sleve and piston set i can find is £165!
probly because the sleve has to be fitted then bored to the new piston.

any idea on what year it is? looks pretty old having drum brakes all round.

Hi people Dont know where you all are looking but im finding full piston kits for the kx for £35 + £8 postage and thats for a wisco piston kit or maybe you fancy a mitaka full kit for all age of kx65 for a respectable sum of £29.30 + £2.50 delivery. Ive been riding, racing fixing & building bikes for many years so kind of know what im on about. As for the age of the bike its either a 84 or 94 model but i will varify and post frame & engine number for all to see. Cheers guys.

yer thats for the following without the sleeve/liner

Thats right piston kit only, in my opinion the piston sleve is undamaged with no scores or grooves so you would only need's new piston & ring. But if i say it needs piston & sleve it covers it all as u may want to change it all or not. Cheers.

if you know so much about them you would know what year it was,i did moto x years ago! and worked on the bikes,and i can still tell you that this bike is definately not a 94! a 84 looks about right though.

if im honest i think a 84 bike wouldnt fetch more than £200 if it was complete and working.
if you say the parts are so cheap,and you have worked on them for years,then surely you would have fixed this up yourself?
i think i would be taking a serious gamble if i offered you £50 for it!

Thats great, the price is there, you can make offers etc, just no need to be harsh about it?
If i go and try and sell my Dan wesson for £400 quid, id would expect it not to sell, not to get abuse for trying to get that price?
