Step outside for a cigarette wearing swimming trucks, last night was darned cold.
30 days by the way folks, I have made it to 30 days, still no nicotine....
I've done a bit of smoking, both hot and cold. You can pretty much smoke anything you want, cheese included, although I've never tried to smoke it myself. I brought a lump of smoked Stilton from the smokery where I fly fish once, it was superb and lasted all of 5 minutes in the pub with a load of crackers (Most people would call em mates)
I,ve now got everything ready to go to build myself a proper smoker this year. An old fella who lives in the village gave me his old smoker, an old bread proving cabinet, which hasn't seen much use over the past 2 years tbh.
Going to dig 2 pits down the end of my garden connected by a long length of air con ducting, and site the cabinet over one of them, can't wait to get going again.
If your'e going to give it a go, get yourself the book ''Home smoking and curing'' by Keith Erlandson. Fantastic little paperback that will provide you with a wealth of info, and certainly wont break the bank either.
Good luck!
I may be drunk love, but in the morning I'll be sober and you will still be ugly!
thanks mate davo has a few books on it so will have a look at them![]()
