sometimes you have to realise how lucky you are

Now before i start im a misserable horrible old git . i got laid off by the builder i work for today , iv had my hours hacked to a third at my other job and im trying to get by on £80 a week , after rent £12.50 to spend on food im freezing as i cant turn my heating on and looking like im going back on the door to get by ( bouncer is non PC term these days ) Sooo im Grumpier than usual . However ,, iv a fantastic doctor , whos got me in for surgery on my knackered elbows , and counceling for my orribleness , and she has taken time to talk to me and aproved my FAC after reaserching my files , if i wasnt so proud i could go for benefits and be able to get by financialy ,I can post on here and have a rant and find a suportive audience , and made some good friends , even though im a orrible whining old git , yes there are a few disagreements but thats life , i do beleive we have been well and truly shafted by a string of idiotic goverments that have dameged my beloved country hopefully not beyond repair , but we have it good on our glouriose albion , iv traveled this world extensivly , i wandered around the world for 18 years and we have it good here , Dont get me wrong im well and truly cheesed off by a lot off things and with good grounds , i loathe criminals spongers soft policy the human rights act ( because of its short comings on crime ) .However im in reflective mood and deep in thought ,at least our childeren are gaurenteed education , we have free health care and a benefits system ,however exploited ! we have fresh water flush toilets cheap food an almost honest police force clean water on tap ,plug in power ,we all have mobile phones and the right to publicly object and criticise and vote out or in political leaders and democraticaly topple goverment , My point being , we are so lucky here , even if you are a grumpy old git , there are not many places in this world that have it so good ..... im off back to my cave to sharpen my spear and chastise my self for publicly being optamistic ,,,, and restassured my next thread will be a Grumpy rant about the press , goverment or the Jeremy Kyle generation !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ,,

Sorry to hear about your job I have had to retire on ill health and wouldn't be able to survive without the benefit system we have in this country I had to sign on and claim all that I could the spongers and fraudsters get me so wound up. I go in to the office and speak to my case officer every 6 weeks to see if I have gotten any better even tho the doctor says in writing that I will never get better only worse. I see the smokers and the people turning up for there appointments in pyjamas or in grotty old dirty clothes or worse still in a new car with crutches but they only start to use them when they get to the door they claim every disability benefit going I have had one leg for over half my life the benefits agency won't give me a car or motability I'm not disabled enough the spongers of this world make me so mad I've worked all my life doing anything I can to keep going and paying tax on all of it I now have to fight to get ever penny . Sorry Grumps took over your up beat thread but if you have paid in you can take out because if you don't claim it some other cheating lieing skiving git will take it and if they don't some other person from some other land will take it .

Well I'm married to a woman who thinks my guns and fishing gear are in the way and tried yesterday to move it all into a shed !!!! I could of won a Oscar for grumpyness when I came home to find her dragging my things across the grass

Do you still have a valid SIA badge? Its not as easy as just jumping back into the doors if you havent done it since before 2005. SIA licences cost about £600 nowadays and I remember getting my door supervisor licence for half that 7 years ago.

I payed £15 pounds for mine 19yrs ago course 4 days over two weeks started on a green badge then on too the black things have certainly changed since then

Not critisising you in any way mate ,the system is there if you find yourself in your situation , just wish it was kinder for genuine cases such as yours iv been threr myself either side of spinal surgery ,, the spongers make me feel just plain sick , to answer the question on door tickets , the guy im going to work for ,, if i do ,,, is going to pay for it , been a long time and with my temprement id think id be better working in a supermarket ,, if you gget what i mean
