    Exclamation Account activation time limit

Any new users who do not activate there account within 10 days will be deleted.

One user signed up using a school teachers email address, and that teacher had no knowledge of this forum but kept getting emails, and i received a complaint from the ICT Manager of Darton High School.

If a user's account is not activated by the user clicking on the link in the email they were sent, it will remain in the 'Users Awaiting Activation' usergroup.

Un-activated users will get the following.

    1. Email after 3 days to remind you to activate your account.

    2. Email after 5 days and lets you know your account will be deleted if you do not activate.

    3. Email after 8 days with a final warning.

    4. The forum software will delete un-activated members after 10 days.

Unlucky about the complaint. Seems a reasnable time to follow a link from an email, good idea.

P.s Should this maybe be in the general forum, a sticky or announcement?

Great idea, Andy. I kept getting registration mail for some Bsrbie site I never heard of, but my friend signed me up for, so I am all for this. Too bad about the complaint.
