I used to do a lot of match fishing (coarse) and was once pegged next to Bob Nudd 4 time world champion. I once went wreck fishing and offered the captain many hundreds of pounds to take me back to the dock as my stomach had nothing left to give. I think you know my answer but I'd rather be in the coastal environment everytime.

I know the feeling ha ha only been boat fishing once , fatal mistake was going out the night before for a couple at a mates bbq, next thing it was 4am just getting into bed,at 4.10am the lads knocked on the door for the run over to bridlington, I puked all the way there in the car, felt ok just before we got on the boat and going out of the harbor, he stopped at his first mark and baits were out , I caught the first fish and started slating the other lads who Were not catching, then the skipper put a black bin full of bait next to me it was at this point I started being sick again, this lasted for the full 6 hours we were out ! I laid down in the wheel house for 5 hours still being sick and the lads every time they caught fish came in and slapped me with them ha ha , I've never been on a boat since ! But I do enjoy carp/match trout and salmon fishing from the bank of course
