I've also decided to give Hardcore a miss - it's driving me barmy! I've gone back to Red Dead Redemption now to play through the Undead Nightmare add on until my nerves settle again, and I get over dying, and having to go back FOUR CHAPTERS of DS2 haha.

I do believe hardcore is the right word for that level. Bit like Lost Planet but ten times worse. On LP if you mess up you lose 30 mins of effort.

I have done the game to death now with round three on zealot! Just want to breeze through it again to get enough nodes to upgrade all guns then I am done.

Can't wait for DS3!!

I bought this a few days ago on a wim, it was £25 in morrisons. I have started on normal for now (never played DS1.) Seems like a brilliant game with some pretty epic moments and touches to boot. I am on chapter 6 at the moment (ending of chapter 5 was pretty cool.) After i'm done i'll have a crack on zealot.

I am on chapter 6 at the moment (ending of chapter 5 was pretty cool.) After i'm done i'll have a crack on zealot.

The elite suit is really cool. I have started hard core, done a first save at chapter 3. I found the ideal item for the final final battle - stasis!!

Well I have completed it on Normal and Survivor now 2/3rds of the way through Zealot.
Think after that Ile have a run through on Easy to upgrade my guns and get some health then Ile be taking on hardcore!
Best weapon for the final boss is a fully upgraded force gun I think
Blasted her with the force gun, switched to the plasma cutter (also fully uped now) blasted the marker, Back to the force gun secondary fire to slow the grey things a few blasts for her then back to the plasma to finish the job

Ime also loving the rip saw gun thing, That thing is epic

I find that regenerator more anoying than anything!

LOL. I use two shotguns (force guns) for most of the game. In the final battle I got best success with Stasis to keep her frozen then machine gun all the way with some secondary fire at times.

I am not sure - can you go hardcore from a game+1 - I thought you couldn't!

Just gone through "Severed" a few times but seems like hard core is not available.

I love the game too not had time to complete as im playing COD Black Ops, this is of course on the best games machine out ..........a top end liquid cooled PC

I have a love hate thing with the ripper. I use two force guns, pulse rifle and line gun (for laying bombs). I am on round 6 of zealot +1 and still haven't had enough nodes to max out all weapons in the game. I reckon it'll take two more rounds. If only I could do hard core with this kit!!
