i think ill hold on then until i can afford to take it to mancherser airguns and get it done properly so it looks mint.

I've just done mine with G96 Cold Blue.

Rubbed the barrel back as it had bad rust on it, took it back to bare, bright metal.

Used the product above over several hours. Must have put on 6 - 7 coats, left around an hour between applications. Looks like new.

I'll see if I can get some before and after pix. Doesn't seem to wipe off either, iinterested to see how it holds up.

For a tenner, got to be worth a punt before getting it done professionally ?

It's not a great picture but I'm more than happy with the job, it looks alot better in the flesh (so to speak).

What benefit would I get from sending it off?
