ok so i can try a rifle in the shop but what to look for?

i am going to be able to shoot a RWS Scimitar this week to try and see if i want it. i really like it at the moment. i was thinking of asking to try another PCP at the same time, i wouldnt buy it but would it be useful to compare it? anything i should be looking for when im shooting apart from accuracy and how it feels for me?
    thanks for your help

Well aprt from that just condition and such like. Look for rust, knocks, cracks etc.
Check the action is smoothe and operates as should etc.

And yes try other guns, more you try the beter job you will make of chooseing a rifle.
Shot Many 0000's of Rats, Shame very few ever lived long enough to tell the tale of the great rat killer....

you might also want to think about how it feels in your hands is heavy where hunting for long periods of time can be a pain or is it nice and light ? and as titch has already told you mate look for the feel of the action is smooth or fiddly and condition and the likes once it meets them make sure your happy with it as its your money your spending at the end of the day ! Hope that helps

Shop around too for prices on a few PCP's that take your fancy and get a ideal price for each.

Not aware of many Shops - south that have a Go Ranges

Aware that some Shooters visit Clubs to see what is around then try and find a good Deal
