Great thread mate , some stellar advice there especially around buying a gun that fits you - after coming back to airguns after a 20 year layoff a write up like this one would have been just what I needed as theres a lot of technical info and some jargon to learn nowadays - stuff like ballistic co-efficent and parralax error was unheard of ( at least by me ) thats why with forums like this one you can learn a wealth of knowledge from some very good people and improve not just your marksmanship but your grey matter as well.
I'll echo Liams comments about abbreviations - these can be a mystery and confusing at first to a newb like me - but good threads like this one are a great resource when your just finding your feet kind of.
Thanks
Mick

Good post. As a newcomer, I think it'd be nice to possibly see some gun suggestions for a few brackets of price ranges/ power sources. Obviously none of these would be set in stone, as It varies for each person's needs, but surely there are some "best in class" rifles, or there may be some rifles which are notoriously below standard for their price bracket, or that have known reliability issues?
Just some suggestions, not sure how practical they are though to implement.
just a pedant point.

A very sensible guide indeed. The DO NOT could do with double underlining and budjet carry a warning. Such as 'ultimately you will spend more'.
Additional costs to add, gunslip, ammo, insurance, club membership.
What a great writeup. Loads of info for not a lot of reading.
