What Titch is trying to say is..... You can buy gold plated pellets at a pound each, but if they don't suit your gun, you will not get a good group.
You need to buy one of those sample packs with 3 or 4 different types and makes, and try them in the gun. You might be surprised and a really cheap pellet might shoot pellet on pellet at 30 yards. So cost does NOT equate to accuracy!

Ask the other guys on the forum that are happy with their gun what they use, a good starting in my opinion. Start your own thread on the subject, that's what the forum is for, to help each other!

Hi, my first post here, nice thread on how to chose, I was also looking on a thread to introduce but couldn't find any. Been a blowgunner for some time, but lungs had a bad time with dyspnea, recovering well, so in the meantime got myself a stingray 2 .22 a week back after skimming most of the shops and doing some research. Just moved up north so sorting things still. Anyways Like the posts guys, learning lots from it. Thanks
    Peace

Hello All, thought I may as well break my cherry and post something.

This thread as well as a couple of others have helped me in deciding on my first pcp, not been airgunning for long. Got the HW100kt last week and my simple review would be that I couldn't shoot particulary well before I got this, and amazingly (to me anyway) I am now groping a whole mag within 10mm @30m.

It almost feels like cheating. So if you're a lazy, impatient beginner like me, have a look at the HW100's

Just as I am here it would be nice if anyone could help me. I was looking around for a pistol to shoot cans in my back garden when the weather is nice. The shooting distance is up to 15 metres and I am looking for something for absolutely beginner and as cheap as possible, I wuldn't be using it a lot due to study and other time taking tasks but when nice weekend weather allows I would like to shoot several cans.

Is there anything you would recommend in particular?
