Scopes for close range

I am looking for a scope to use at close ranges and have seen this -
JSR 6 x 32 Mini Illuminated PX Adi Mil Dot Riflescope | JSR Optics | Buy Online Now!

It is classed as a mini scope, is there any drawbacks over a full length scope?

Cheers

The image you get will not be as bright as a larger scope, but depending on the range and/or size of prey, have you thought about a decent red dot sight?

Don't giggle, I can allready hear it. Find a cup, a coffee jar lid may suffice. If it is a nice fit on the end of your scope, drill a hole in the centre say 3/4". Try it.
At sub 5' the clarity is damned good. With a bit of trial and error you can compensate for height.

hello mate,
ive just bought a jsr 3-9x32 illuminated mill dot mini scope (yesterday), and i must say, ive been down the range this morning with it for the first time, and its superb for the money. its mounted on my bsa ultra.

the only draw back i can see is due to its length (or lack of) you have to mount the scope far back on the rail, you need your eye quite close to see out of it.
Hasnt been a problem for me tho, was shooting knock down targets out to 35yards every time after zeroing (20mm killzone). and shooting as close as 5 yards it adjusts right down clearly. i dont know if the one youre looking at has the front parralax or not, mine does and like i said i cant fault it.
was also hitting out to 45 using the mill dots, not every shot probly 3 out of 5 but thats just gna take practice.

hope this helps
