    hi all,never lamped in the snow before and fancy trying it tonight so could you all tell me what colour you lamp with,i will be using a ledray 700 buy the wa thanks

    I would stick with red, its generally the best colour to lamp with, and red having one of the lowest wave frequency's of the visible light spectrum it should give you the least bright shine back, so using a scope it shouldn't blind you. But that's theoretical I have never shot in the snow other than those wild tin cans which live in my garden.

    I rekon I might go out tonight too Beckz but not sure if it will be worth it with the snow underfoot making all that noise!!!

    Blue filters dont have a specific condition, only when its dark, but what they do is they pick up and make blood easier to see, so you can track an injured animal. Better suited for deer hunters etc instead of bunnies, as if there not dead there dying in there warren.
