Just as they are, I reckon that £4 is good enough for most people, Degs. If you were doing one-offs then maybe a fiver a throw? As for the slings, people will pay £25 a throw for a normal, run of the mill sling, so maybe you could compete with that, especially if you don't put swivels on them.

    Hi Jack,
To be fair ...... It was Jetski who was first to contemplate making some to sell on here .... so its only right he should get first option to do this.

They're weaved onto the slings at set distance for the person ..... its not adjustable ..... there are ways to make one adjustable or so I have read,
but I havent sat and thought it out yet ..... TBH .... who adjusts theirs once on the rifle anyway if they know the length they need ?

    Is it not .....
Adjustable sling bought as thats how most are ? .... put onto rifle .... use adjustment to desired length .... then it stays put .... unless I am wrong ?

If the required length is known .... make to that length .... voila ?

Lets see if Jetski wants to do this with those sort of prices ?? .... before anything else.

I will be supplying them, I have bought 20 sets of swivels so I'll have to lol... It doesn't mean no one else can supply them. I worked it out for it to be worth it I would have to charge £35 all in. Swivels, cord, postage, eBay fees, PayPal fees, and 2 hours to make them... Makes £35 but to me that sounds too much... I compare them to the plaited leather ones available for £20 plus swivels... I don't know...

Anyway this is what this thread was all about but I didn't get many people voting so it was hard to work out a good general length so it's been put on hold for the time being..
    how long is your sling?

Plus the same thread was made on a different forum and it was met with arguing and everyone telling me to make them adjustable. No one understood that to make them adjustable would price themselves out of the market no one thought it was a good idea

Thanks for the name check but I didn't have this idea first, someone on the Chinese forum made one and showed me. It was a different knot, not quite as wide, but looked great

    No worries Jetski,
Good luck with the selling ..... the two PM's I had werent interested .....

and basically I was going to get £20 out of it by the time post costs were taken out, swivels and cord.
The same cost as a leather plaited sling......
I came to exactly the same calculations as you @ £35 ..... which to me seems reasonable for a non off the shelf sling
but as one layout £ for a complete sling with swivels .... it does appear a tad too much.
Depends how you look at it.

Maybe if peeps had a go .... they could save some dosh ? .... if they have the patience ?

Got a few bracelrt orders though

I make and sell bracelets as something to do while at wife's work it takes mind of pain I buy cord in every colour you can think of and then some people come up with while on drugs I think . I buy side release buckles from China in lots of colours as well. Each Bracelet cost me around £1.00 to make takes me 10/15 mins I sell for £3.00 I use money to improve the rifle range at wife's place and fill my air rifle bits buying urges. On a good weekend I can take over £400 on bracelets the odd leftovers I make into key rings zip pulls.
