    which gas bottle

hi,all.decided to give up on the pump a 40 a day habit has taken it's toll. What i would like to know is what is the difference between a 232 bar and a 300 bar gas bottle.Apart from the obvious 68 bar.I appreciate the size in litres determines how many fills you can get out of it,do you get 24x500cc fills out of a 12L bottle? or does the pressure drop as it empties,i'm going to be filling at 170 bar so can anyone tell me the amount of fills i would be looking at from the above different pressures.I'm not specifically looking at a 12L bottle just used this as an example. Thanks chaps, hope this helps others who are thinking of going down this path.

you will get a lot more fills from a 300 bar bottle over a 232 bar bottle however not everywhere can fill to 300 bar
use this to calculate how many fills you will get from each

Remember also you will not be filling the rifle from empty usually so you will not use as much air as you think!

I'm a little suspicious of this calculator, does the answers match up with your guns? It's stating I get quite a few more fills than I actually get. It doesn't say at what pressure the diving bottle is before you consider it empty. At some point you can't get complete fills but you could still get a few part fills. I think it must be considering these part fills as proper fills. I get about 20 fills on one gun and that calculator states 33. Quite a difference in opinion

There's plenty of places near Wigan where they'll fill to 300bar. I used to use the Delph Diving Centre in Eccleston when I used PCP's, there's a couple of shops in Bolton that'll do it too

i have 3 pcp's that i fill to 170 bar each(below what the manufacturers state)
i have a 12l 300 bar bottle,i have done 78 fills on my guns which i fill to 170 bar,i top them up when they get down to around 100 bar
have just done a pressure test on my bottle and still have 200 bar left
the calculator is there as a guide as to how many fills you may get not what you will get
if you get less its not my fault
    its not my website
