I was just thinking as well im not sure if the whole mail order airgun situation changes may have contributed to it as well because certain areas, especially small towns, may not have much competition. So before maybe someone could have said that a retailer is a rip off and order online or from a magazine much cheaper but now that mail order is different they have to go to a gun shop. What I mean is there might be someone who is £40 dearer than another shop but to get to the cheaper shop it may be £40 or more in petrol so the retailer knows they can get away with it.
Inflation (as mentioned) is obviously a factor too, its unrealistic to expect a gun that was £150 10 years ago to still be the same lol. I was talking more about people putting guns up for sale at ridiculous pricesYou also have to laugh when they put "bargain" or "rare" next to it or when they are asking a stupid price and surprise surprise nobody is interested they start saying "come on guys? cant believe nobody had snapped this up?"

Talk about bad gun shops, I went to one a while back with a friend and he asked to hold a bas ultra to feel the weight in which she replied 'its 2.7 kilo'... knobber.
