ive cleaned mine before but not much - if any- better accuracy, i put some napier power lube on them though and it does improve accuracy slightly

dont fancy the idea of lead where eating is concerned
try washing some cheapo (smk)pellets in the dishwasherwhite plates would come out grey
Loads of salt in dishwasher water too - wouldn't that affect lead?
I don't use salt in my dishwasher, we have nice soft water up here
