The piston has not been modded, But it is a later edition that what I found in my MK2, therefore I can not be sure if it is the origional of if your vulcan was a very late model before the next version was released? Good job with the polishing and the piston seal looks in very good condition! dont worry to much about spinning but do be concerned if 1: it comes off easily and 2: if it wobbles, you dont want that!

Cheers! and thanks for the "I like this" on my last post Doodlebug!

    Whiskey500's Vulcan Project

    v102_2453.jpg

    v102_2456.jpg

Thats where im at with the Vulcn so far.

Details: Polished Piston, Polished barrel, Polished Trigger, Polished custom Sound modderator, Thoeben Gas Strut converted, Custom Stock (required dipping) 90% Walnut and 10% Polyester resin, made to be more ergonomical and ballanced with custom finder grip and raising comb, Adjustable rear Butt Plate, 11mm-22mm weaver blocks to seat that Illuminated Mil-Dot Reticle Sidewheel scope!, Folding bipod and a few other bits done here ad there. There will also be an additional Grip weight which will finish of the ballancing, I have yet to form a grubscrew led weight that will slide onto an alluminium rod that screws on the visible 8mm screw underneath the grip area, I also want a side wheel and a widicator as well. any suggestions for the stock finish would be good Ive seen a very nice burl wood or perhaps I should get an Urban camo finish applied?

.22 @ 11.4FTLB With Elley Wasp @ +7 Dgrs outside, Ranged at 50 YRDS = 1.0-1.5-Ish Grouping (will be reduced when sound suppressor is replaced with an adjustable air stripper)

    Cheers

A nice looking bit of kit I must say! I like the stock, id go for a camo dip on that baby. Still when ive done my stock I think it will turn out nicer You can buy mine if you like!

I take it you really like the Vulcan? What was your reason for tuning it?

Cheers, Wanted to keep the stock as close to the orig shape as poss, otherwise it may not be recognisable as a Webley, just needed some erganomics thats why that stock shape came to be, there is more to it but the pictures do not justify detail.

Why the Vulcan? Well when it was given to me over 10 years ago it was badly neglected, carcked stock, rusty, 5ftlb with parts missing, I used the rifle when i was younger with some light touch ups and general care but I had some more time on my hand in the early summer and wanted a project rifle, The vulcan had potential so I thought it was time for a new lease of life and im glad I started it, If not it would probs be stuck in a cupboard locked up and getting its self into a worse condition than when given to me. I always liked the size and weight of this rifle over many others and underneath all the grub and rust was a well built machine.

    Cheers
