A mate has been offered this gun by a friend of his for £250.

I dont know anything about this gun beside the fact its a springer, and he's asked my advice, has anyone had any hands on with this rifle before that could give me some advice to pass on to him?.

I have no idea what calibre it is as he never asked. Or if it came with anything else for that matter.

good gun would need to know what condition its in. how old and is that gun only price, anything from 100 for a dog to 300 with scope in good nick, great gun if its in good working order accurate as anything else out there, depends how it shoots too and if its been messed with etc as these where prone to being fiddled with in the eighties and some were buggered up.

really good gun tuned up one of the popular ones for ft shooters as is the hw97 to as above condition depending on price

Excellent gun and very very accurate but wouldnt pay 250 for it unless its mint and with scope

As above excellent rifle but for that price it had better come with a scope.
