I have recently bought a HW80 from a friend, with it he gave me a new sealed tin of 5.5mm eley wasp pellets.
for some reason they feel a little loose in the barrel and the skirt doesn't quite fill the breach when you insert them.
has anyone else with a HW80 found this?
I thought about trying the slightly bigger 5.6mm eley wasp instead.
any thoughts guys?

Try as many different types as you can Paul, I tried 10 and found 3 that my Evo really likes![]()
Weihrauch HW95 .177 open sights
BSA Mercury .22 open sights
won't all 5.5mm pellets feel the same in the barrel?
I must also point out that accuracy isn't an issue.
Superdomes tend to fit nice and snug in most barrels ?
they do in my other rifles but they feel the same as the eley wasp in the HW80.
Try German ones - RWS Superdome or Field, H&N FTT, HW's own. There's a train of thought that German pellets work best in German barrels. Might be a load of shite but I've always followed that rule and I hit what I aim at![]()
The SEARCH FUNCTION is your friend......
Superdomes are one of my Evo's favourites. Along with Super Fields and Accupells![]()

I'll give it a try mate![]()
I would try especially Superdomes and JSB Exacts in 4.50mm, 4.51mm, 4.52mm and 4.53mm.
