    S400 price

    Hi guys

Got an S400 ben Taylor reg'd. thinking of selling as I'm not using it much as prefer my Prosport and want to go FAC.

Question is; do I sell with reg in there or return to stock with a new air cylinder etc. and how much could I ask for as is or stock? .22 and 6 months old. Walnut stock with swivels etc... Immaculate!

    Thanks guys!

I would sell as is knowing the gun works as it's set up, as to price I don't know.

id sell it as it is. your making work for yourself by taking it apart and I can't see you profiting from it. as it is probably about £450

If you do decide to sell the reg'd cylinder as a separate entity I'd be interested

standard s400 are currently selling for no more than £300. because yours has a walnut stock, only 6month old and mint condition you can bump that up a bit to say £350. a complete regged cylinder I guess would go for about £150? hard to tell as they aren't up for sale very often but I'm sure there would be several people interested. so if your able to get a standard cylinder for £50 you will break even, not sure how much you could get one of those for

last year and even more so the year before second hand guns were selling for very little less than brand new ones. I witnessed many of the cheap smk range selling at the same price and even more in some cases. but this last few months second hand prices have dropped considerably. maybe more people are buying new? but I suspect more people are selling up in these tight times especially with christmas coming up. . . . those were just my estimates though. other people may have a different view

Jetski's right, over the last few years the return when selling your as new air guns has fallen sharp which is as big shame but reflects on the current times. I think either accept a loss to a point and dont devalue your gun or keep it and maybe look at it as a starting rifle for fac.

To put it back to standard you may need a new pressure pot and a bit of tweeking it depends on how it was set up.
