    How to?

    Hello mates,

Is there anybody in here that can explain me how can I dismount the BSA Ultra standard silencer - i am not talking of how to take it off the gun but how to disassemble it? Are the to end caps threaded in the main body or are they forced by pressing in there?
I tried to unscrew the caps and it seems impossible even if i clamped the silencer in a vice... any tips would be really appreciated

    All the best!

not familliar with it per say but its either compression fit or sonic welded if it wont come out after the vice in my opinion (its cheaper than cutting threads lol)
have you asked BSA and whay do you want to take it apart by the way?

First of all thanks for the sugestion. I have asked BSA but they never reply my emails (if you have a "secret" email address on which they are more responsive please let me know .
I want to dissasemble it and use the end caps with a longer custom made body in order to create a more efficient silencer for my gun

    All the best!

I have 2 of these, one which is now marked and scratched up due to trying to get it apart. People have done it, they apparently heat it up first. I tried this but with no success.
You might be better off cutting it up carefully and trying to the bits you want or just buy a ready made one
Trying to think of something witty or philosophical to put in my signature. But can't be arsed!!!!!!

Thanks mate - this is indeed a real help for me. I think that i will leave it as it is and make from scratch the two end caps and the body.
I just scratched mine a little bit too trying to get it apart so as you said there is no way without destroying its finish

    All the best!

My son is borrowing a heat gun at the weekend, I might have one more go if I get the time.
