    Unhappy Air leak

Hi, brand new to this forum. I have an Air Arms S410, but my problem is with an FX Typhoon I recently purchased. On filling there is a very noticeable air leak coming from the filler hole, even with the plug fitted I can still hear air leaking out. How easy would it be for me to strip this model? I presume there is a seal or something that will need to be replaced. I am no gunsmith, but I would appreciate any help.
    Thanks, Pete.

Its probably a blown seal. if you are not sure on what you are doing take it to a gun smith.

Its simple its the same fitting as the webleys there are 3 allen bolts that hold the front end of the air cylinder in take them out and there are 2 o rings in the one way valve and one big o ring round the plug that you just pulled out replace all these no more air leak. 10 min job

Thanks for your replies. Took it apart, just gave everything a good clean, and a light oiling, and no more leak! Thanks.

you might want to mention the cylinder has to be depressurised first or you goona get £600 worth of mortar.

Soon as you start undoing them bolts theres 3 to go at and if you dont notice its full of air by the time you take the 3rd bolt out then you deserve some pain.

If your gonna be dumb you gotta be tough!

Writing this proves that I am still alive! Yes, I did make sure there was no air remaining in the cylinder before I started. I did read about doing that elsewhere before I joined here. Thanks.

    Hi Billy

    Did you use Silicon oil??

If you used a petrolium based oil, it's possible the seal will turn to mush and be worse than before

Hope your repair lasts longer than my Career one did
