Question Another problem, need your advice

As some of you may know, i've just bought an SMK Syntarg for my wife. The gun was 'ok' to start with but had a clicky trigger. After putting about 1000 pellets through it this has started to wear off, but now I have another problem.

I put about 20 pellets through it this morning and after about 10 pellets when i closed the barrel after loading it, it made a loud bang like a banger and the gun actually fired without my finger being anywhere near the trigger, the pellet was still in the gun and my pants we're almost full. I thought it was a one of, but then after about another 5 pellets it did it again, then after 5 or so more, it did it again!

I'm no expert, but this isn't right. It didn't actually fire the pellet but the gun fired on its own just by me cocking the gun.

I'm going to take it back and ask for it exchanging, but this got me thinking, I am considering putting some more money towards it and getting something else as I wouldnt feel confident with another one of these guns now.

    What do you guys recommend?

once bitten mate,i would def take it back, and get something else,as for the self firing,i would'nt want to be anywhere near it.is the trigger sticking after you have shot it.sounds very dodgy to me.

Only problem is that it is very sporadic. Fired another 20 shots off and it was fine?

Its the trigger not keeping hold. Its clearly a duff trigger take it back and get a decent gun mate. There is a whole 18 page thread on these guns and this is just more proof why people should buy a decent gun to start with.
Outlaw guns and only the outlaws will have guns.

Anyone have any experience with the Hatsan Striker 1000S.

I know buying cheap isn't the best idea, but I don't wanna spend too much as it's only gonna be a target practice gun.
