    Arrow DOWN THE SHED

    hi all
ive been mucking about in the shed again and i have come up with
    home made spinning targets..

item used were in this case a bean tin (ate the beans for lunch on toast).
peice of wood, white/red paint and a 6" screw.

first i cut the bean tin open and hammered it flat, once flat i cut out a peice
    10cm x 5 cm.
i then bent the top end over a pencil to make the tube bit, i then cut a peice of thin wood the same size as the rear of he tin square so that it sits under the looped bit but also allowing about a 1cm gap at the bottom so that it can be turned up to help hold the wood in place.
i applied super glue to the wood and placed it on the tin back held in place with a clamp to dry. the bottom part of the tin can then be bent back against the wood to help hold it in place.
once the glue is dry i then sprayed it white left it to dry again then whit me trusted poster paint i plopped a red dot in the center just for something to aim at. again left to dry.
once dry i slid a 6" screw through the loop made sure it swings free and then you can screw it wherever you want...jobs a goodun..
i guess you can use any metal you like as i dont expect the tin to last to long but is a bit of fun and something differant to plink at.

i have a few more ideas for differant targets to fire at, once i worked them out i will post in here......in DOWN THE SHED....

feel free to add any of your own i have another thread of targets on here check it out..
rather than keep starting new thread i will post new ideas in this one..
    hope you find them usefull.

What a great thread. Keep em coming mate. In fact there should be a "Down the shed" thread for all matters "tinkering" for example I'm in process of making a gun stand and work station from a roll cab I have.

I don't have a shed so i use the kitchen i often have smoke bellowing out the kitchen window when i'm blackening steel in old engine oil, scares the cr#p out of the neighbours, but it sure beats scented candles anyday.

One for the young at heart

HI ALL I BEEN AT IT AGAIN,
THIS TIME IVE CAME UP WITH A REAL FUN ONE,
SIMPLE TO DO ALBEIT A BIT FIDDLEY....

WHAT YOU NEED ARE SOME EGGS, POSTER PAINT (COLOUR OF YOUR CHOICE)...(i favour red more like guts hurhur))..
    AND A BIT OF SEALANT....

    METHOD:
    (1) EMPTY OUT YA EGG. PUT SMALL HOLE IN EITHER END, AND BLOW THE EGG OUT..(dont suck is yukky)..

    (2) NOW TO FILL THE EGG, YOU NEED TO USE A BIT OF SEALANT TO PLUG THE HOLE IN THE TAPERED END AND LEAVE TO SET. ONCE SET ENLARGE THE HOLE IN FAT END (all technical terminology here)..
A LITTLE TO ENABLE IT TO BE FILLED. WITH A MIX OF WATER AND POSTER PAINT, OR YOU CAN USE FOOD COLOURING. TO FILL I USED A NOZZLE FROM THE WIFES ICING SET (sshhh!!!)..BUT I SUPOSE YOU CAN USE A STRAW OR A CONE OF PAPER...

    (3) ONCE FILLED SEAL UP THE HOLE THE SAME AS THE OTHER END AND LEAVE TO SET.

(4)NOW THE FUN BIT ONCE ALL IS SET WE CAN THEN DECORATE THE EGG
TO YOUR OWN DESIGN, WHAT I DID WAS O DRAW A FACE ON IT AND USED ME OLE MATE PVA GLUE TO THE FAT END OF THE EGG AND STUCK SOME GRASS ON IT.........

    (5) ONCE EGG IT ALL DRY SET EM UP AND HAVE FUN BLASTING THE LITTLE BUGGER...THEY BURST ALL OVER THE PLACE LOOKS GOOD IF YOU USED RED PAINT ECT.....I FOUND THEY STAY UP BETTER IF THE USE A SMALL PILE OF SAND ((((is like they behind a bunker sneaking up on ya to grab ya sweeties)))...

HAPPY DAYS............HOPE YOU LIKE SCRAMBLED EGG OR WAIT TILL THE WIFES BAKING...
if at first you dont succeed SHOOT IT and bury the evidence.
