I have a HW97K on order - in .25 calibre and Spanish spec - 18 ft/lbs. I am expecting delivery towards the end of JANUARY!!!
I hope it will be worth waiting for !!
Just done some zeroing at 30 yard. Grouping no better than I was with the .22. But then went straight down to 25 yard, and POI never changed.
Went out to 35 yard, and POI didn't change again!
Got to do some real tests over a variety of ranges to figure them out properly, but .177 really does fly noticeably flatter, reducing the shooters margin of error.
Really liking this gun and calibre!![]()
Oh no! Your turning to the dark side!
Love teh 97ks, your's sounds like beaut!

AgreedGreat gun great calibre. But in the TX200's defence you got yours from that rip off merchant from Bonny & Clyde and he did a real number on it just out of spite the

I do however think that the your HW is marginally better than my TX![]()
Pelllet on pellet at unlimited range regardless of conditions (yeah right)
Marginally? That's not what you said the other day mate![]()
I had a whale of a time with her this morning. Just plinking, but wow! What a rifle! Really impressed with the .177 cal as well. I am not saying it is better than .22, just... erm.... well I suppose I am saying that! And I have been a .22 fan for nearly 17 years. It is definately easier to shoot over varying distances. I have not had to use any holdover/under from 25 to 35 yards. Very different with .22.
You should upgrade mate. You won't regret it
I think I better talk to my wife about my new love affair...HW all the way in future. Won't even consider anything else.
The HW97k is a fantastic bit of kit and had mine from new but between the two i prefer the TX200HC, Everything is on equal terms except shootability the TX just pips it IMHO![]()

Looks a great bit of kit there, i do like the under levers. You will get years of shooting out of it, enjoy it mate![]()
