    British Military designed Grab bag

    Hello all,

I've been looking for a bag to replace my ageing MkVII Gas Mask bag as a EDC (Every Day Carry) for holding my Camera in and the day to day bits and bobs.

The bag needed to be hard wearing and able to take all my kit by adding more sections as needed rather than one big bag.

Now a friend of mine bought the 5.11 PUSH bag, but at £50 quid basic this felt a tad strong for my taste

So, whist at Solider of Fortune this week I came across this for £30.

    British Military designed Grab bag

    • 3 mag pockets each holding 3 mags. Total 9 mags
    • large enough to take A4 Nyrex folders 12 x11 x3 inches.
    • Inside there is a concealed carry / radio pouch which has an antenna hole in the top.
    • Waist strap
    • Adjustable shoulder strap
    • On the side is a pouch for a FFD,
    • Surefire torch pouch
    • morphine combo pen pouch
    • Velcro patch for flag patch
The bag comes in Green, DPM, Brown or Black.

I went for the black one...

I needed to make a few changes to the bag to make it suitable for my needs, this started with lining the insides with foam to protect the camera, I added a head lamp torch to the shoulder strap so I can see the settings on my camera in the dark and look inside the bag without using a high powered lamp, To the out side I've added 3 M4/M16 CQB mag pouches, these have given me some extra storage space and given me some molle real estate to use & give me a way to mount my tripod to the bag, the final addition is a hand cuff pouch used to hold my gloves in on the shoulder strap

On the whole I am very happy with this bag, in total with the bag and the extra pouches it stands me at £45 quid, where as my mates bag... well it's well over a £100 now and doesn't hold as much as tidy.

I can see me using this for Airsoft and intend to get a 2nd bag in green for hunting, the stepped shape of the bag lends its self nicely as a cushion to rest a rifle on.

Link is working for me mate but try this - http://www.sofmilitary.co.uk/

I thought about karabiners, but went with the grim locks as the plactic would make less noise against the tripod legs
