First thing's first, It is bloody bright....!!! Easily lights up as far as it claims if not a lot further with a lovely tight beam and freezes bunnies to the spot. It has a fast focus shroud and is a very smooth action, extremely quick & easy when you have a rifle in your hands.
The clamp/gun mount that came with is a bit on the bulky side and a bit of a PITA to get rock steady but, eventually with some rubber tape it can be done. It's definitely not the best bit of kit (clamp) but is very robust, I'm just not overly confident of it.
The switch on the main body is fine, it has a dimmed setting plus a full power one which is great but, when you change the body over to have the pressure switch on there it only has on/off and no dimming, which is a shame. The pressure switch itself isn't the greatest either. You have to press quite hard to get it to work and unless you're pressing hard all the time it will quickly flick on and off. Why they couldn't just put an on/off switch is beyond me!
The unit itself is well constructed, seems very solid and made of aluminium, lucky really as it's a weight! You get two bodies with it, one for general use as a torch and one for your rifle mount with the pressure switch hard wired in to the body. Changing batteries is easy and it comes in a nice presentation box which went straight in the loft!
Overall I'd say this is a good bit of kit and the torch certainly lives up to the manufacturers claims and my expectations. It's let down buy the bulky clamp and awful pressure switch which, as a lamping torch, I feel are quite important pieces of the kit and maybe should have had a little more consideration from the manufacturers. It's still a recommend from me as the torch itself is a brute and as air gunners we certainly don't need any thing brighter. I may have a fettle with it and change the pressure switch for a dimming on/off switch from Maplins and I'm sure it will do a lot better then.......

hi yes these are cracking torches I did say that on another forum and I was slatted for it!! Good to see other people share my thoughts!! They are really bright!!
I use mine all the time, hand held with the pistols, or with a RIS mount on the HK416, the way I can quickly switch from flood to pencil beam is a God send for Room clearance then out to a open area.
Good review, i like the led lensers they are really good and does what it says on the box![]()
