I prefer the full length for two reasons; Firstly it will theoretically be slightly more accurate, and secondly, the shots per charge is slightly higher.

Given the recent interest in consistency of output I tested the HW100S today with different pellets, each in a five shot string. All figures FPS;-
Accupel: 815 - 810, Average 812 = 11.57 ft/lb
AA Field: 807 - 802, Av. 805 = 11.75 ft/lb
H&N FTT: 791 - 783, Av. 786 = 11.66 ft/lb
Superdome: 805 - 791, Av. 798 = 11.74 ft/lb
Hobby: 851 - 847, Av. 849 = 11.21 ft/lb
My gun is obviously more consistent than the man behind it.![]()
Nice review, they really are awesome guns, i prefer the carbines myself, but they're all top notch.![]()
