Smk .22 syntarg anyone had one ?

Any one used one of these ? Supposed to be nice lightweight due to the shark fin stock, but only limited info/reviews after a Google search. my son is wanting one as he loves the look of them and the weight/length is just right for him. I don't want to start any smk debates lol , just honest opinion if you've owned/used one please.

    Cheers pete

    Hi Pete.
The SYNTARG is a low to medium junior rifle, I have heard of some doing 8ftlbs and that is about it maxed out.
Very accurate out to 15 - 20 yds. they seem to shoot well with the new Milbro Caledonian Ultra pellets.
You would be better off buying a XS12 these have a bit more punch and are very accurate, easy to cock and nice to shoulder, the trigger isnt too bad either.
SMK have pulled their fingers out over the last couple of years and have come on leaps & bounds where build quality is concerned.

Also have a look at the Crosman Raven, that has a shark shaped stock same as the SYNTARG..
    Will.

In a gun dealer near me there is a Diana model 25 for sale, little junior air rifle, ok it is not in showroom condition, few rust marks on it, well it is ancient, but it is working, .177, junior size, with iron sights (literally iron sights), he wants £15 for it!

I've got one that I've owned for over 40 years, and it was old when I got it. Great little plinker, and surprisingly accurate at 20 yards.
In the beginning was the worb

Thanks lads loads to think about ! His uncle I think may of bought him one already as a surprise (syntarg) but not in UK at the mo , so I'm not able to ask him. If he has it will do him for a couple of months.then he can have the bsa meteor I have, as when funds allow I want to treat myself to a new/second hand gun. It is going to be a he.
