I disagree the rapid indexing system isn't as good as a hw100. A numpty can try and still not jam.

Not to start an argument or nothing but the rappid has the best indexing and always will. Theres nothing to go wrong due to its simplicity. And i think you'll find many companies are copying theobens mag system.

well id like to know how you can jam a rapid ive never been able to do it seeing that its a spring loaded mag. As soon as you pull back the bolt the next pellet is in place. Like i said theres nothing to go wrong as its all the mag hence BSA and FX have done the same where with the HW100 i have had it jam on me enough said really.
" Might also be a good idea to check your shop/supplier to see if they are knowledgeable and know what they are talking about. Some of the threads on here are scary!! " - too right, see the advice I was given in a gun/fishing shop to buy a rimfire .22 for shooting up into trees HERE (my post on page 2)- luckily I know far better, (I think he realised too late when he saw the look on my face when he said that) but it shows that anyone completely new to the sport needs to be very wary about where they get advice - particularly when someone is trying to make a sale!

been through exactly the same a week back, went to gunshop 3 times, i had my heart kind of set on an aa s410, but it idnt quiet fit me right, rapid7 didnt feel right, daystate looked bootiful but still wasnt for me, ended up with hw100 and so did my brother, gunshop made some money that day, but to be fair over the 3 days we was in there for 2 hours at a time, like others have said, try the guns out, you will soon know if ones better to load, feels right, fits like a glove , comfy to hold etc etc etc.... only thing i would say is dont rush into it... lots of good guns out there, accurate but you will find one thats suits you better good luck :-)

im stuck with the same dilemma Tony, i'd much prefer the bsa r10 for looks and when i went to hold both of them, my mind was still set with the r10...but since reading all these reviews its made the decision hard again.
I want the r10, and exactly that...i dont want it to spend half its life being sent back to bsa for repair.
I think if you want the r10 you should go for it, because people say the mk2 has been fixed in many ways, and its just a handful of dodgy ones now and then...
Let me know which you get
