I brought this air rifle as i found the bsa supersport felt strange when i shouldered it and i didn't get the bsa lightning because as far as i know the parker hale striker is the same gun with parker hale silencer and stock and the lightning is quite a bit more expensive. The gun cost me £200 from my local gun shop it is well worth the money i have put around 12,000 through this air rifle and through rain, snow and the odd bang or knock here and there it has never let me down. New the gun should be giving around 11.5 ftlbs of energy more than enough for hunting. Its superbly accurate despite the shortish barrel and really easy to carry and shoot whilst hunting as the rifle is very light and is smooth and fluent in its loading and firing. I have tried dozens of different pellets but i find it shoots best with accupells, H&N field target trophys and weihrauch F&T specials i have tried air arms fields but they are a little loose in my breach. I have taken it on many successful hunting trips and it has humanly taken rabbits at 40 yards. The Parker hail striker is a good air rifle to use if your are looking to hunt out the window of your car as it is reasonably short and manuverable due to the carbine length barrel. Overall i can not recomend this air rifle more it is perfect if you are looking to start hunting on a budget.
