sorry for slow replies here, i ordered the mount from china. it is similar to the one on the bay from baconbuttie.

just to update, i've not made it out much at night, but have been into my own field a few times, and keep on finding foxes. they take NO notice of the light, happily sniffing around for goodies in the hedges etc. had beam on one for at least 2 mins and not the slightest bother. also tried narrowing beam to a dot and lasering his eyes, again, not bothered. this would make a perfect match for a powder burner hunting fox at night....

i have also heard from odicforce that the price for the 50mw laser went up, so he is no longer stocking them. i may be able to source myself soon, will post here if and when.

I have emailed odiforce several times and never recieved a reply ,obviously they are to rich and do not require my money and considering i was asking for 50 units if they could supply what i reguired you think they would make an effort.
O well i guess thats what the far east is for......if you didnt know patent and copy right laws dont apply in china witch is why half of the current manufacturing on the planet goes on there. i am seriously contemplating getting silencers made there 40 day w8 as its by boat but ...£15 HW100 silencers anyone lol

    Hi,
I contacted OdicForce too as I noticed that the 50mW had disappeared from the website. To their credit they replied pretty quick to be honest, if you want the email address of the guy who replied PM me, but if you are gonna source them yourself again PM me, mounts are available on eBay for £12.95 plus PP.

if you need to contact odic force in a hurry, phone the guy up, he's really helpful. to be fair he does state on his site that email may not be read.

made it out last night for an hour or so, not much about as it was blowy and a full moon, but managed to find eye shine at approx 100yards, then made a slow stalk to around 30. rabbit still there when i lit the laser up again, he did hop off to his hole, but stopped for a look back... this was all the time i needed to pop one in his noggin. i had a red led headtorch also, and this was nowhere near picking up eyeshine at that range.

    Exellent thred mate.
I'm still waiting for mine to arrived from china, I will update my thred on them and if you don't mind bud could we do a comparison thred on them.
I've seen on you tube, how green lasers can be made brighter, would this enhance the power to these designators? say when the beam is set to flood, would it be brighter if the laser were to be turned up so to speak. Sorry for the questions.
    Cheers

i should think you could mod them to turn up the power at the expense of battery /unit life.
they are after all just a laser where the beam is made divergent. as the size of the beam increases, the brightness reduces. however, as the distance you use it at increases, you can up the magnification on the scope, which means the field of view is less. the beam can then be reduced to fill the scope, maximising the brightness of the image seen.
it would be great to have a variable output, so you can scan for long distance eyes at full power, then when within airgun range, turn it down a bit so the laser isn't burning their eyes out

forgot to mention, also had a badger in the laser last night, it too seemed completely undisturbed like the foxes are.

My adjustable mount arrived today, as the seller said in the listing, it took a few weeks. Quite happy with it though, seems well made and the adjusters move freely without wandering. Will mount it on a scope with a torch and aspheric lens later and have a play.

Decided to get the odicforce laser illuminator too ... must have taken the last one as the website reports them sold out now !

    Hi Nobby,
Great review, thanks, want to act upon your recommendations but the link to the Odicforce website doesn't take you there, I know it's been a few months since you wrote this. I went onto their website and found a couple of lasers that I thought may do the job, but I didn't want to commit as I'm not sure which one to get and I couldn't find one that looked like yours.
Any chance of the model number of yours or a new link to the laser and the mount.
    Much appreciated Nobby,
    Thanks
