right have been playing with this gun for 3 hours and am quite impressed by it
the build quality is far better than any other crosman i have bought, they have even put it all together with allen bolts and not the monkey metal slot head screws they used to use
the breech, shroud and air tube are finished in a nice matt black finish and looks lovely
the mags are a doddle to load and a doddle to slide into the breech, indexes perfectly, the bolt has a nice smooth action and the pellet glides into the barrel
have put around 120 pellets through it this afternoon, even without a silencer it was quiet, with the twink mark 2 on it you could not hear a thing until the pellet hit its target
after zeroing at 10 yards in the back garden i adjusted the px on the scope to 20 yards and was getting 10mm groups so its bloody accurate
    not all perfect though
the poxy plastic stock that crosman have been knocking out out for about 30 years is not great
i would love to have seen a wooden stock and forearm on this gun
    you never know whats coming

have run it over the chrony today, and its only putting out 8fpe which is dissapointing
apparently it was sent to me with the hammer spring tensioner all the way out to ensure it was under the uk limit
have been assured it is easy to get more power out of it so will be having a play with that tomorrow

It is easy to adjust the power, best way to do it. Dismantle the gun, take the washers off the hammer pin, reassemble it, wind your hammer spring fully in and adjust the hammer stroke to 11.5 ft/lb. Dismantle it again put the right amount of washers under the hammer pin so it can't be adjusted and no way of going over the legal limit. Reassemble and its done

Let me know how you go on

Is that a UK model now or did you import it yourself?

Am I right in saying they do a pistol and a rifle?

    Cheers

    i imported it
was sent to me from the usa by www.airgunexporter,com and was detuned before it was imported into the uk,if i'm honest it is down on power but as has been mentioned they are easy to adjust
this is the pistol version with the carbine stock fitted so is classed as a carbinerifle in this form is legal for the uk
in pistol form this would be a monster and would not be legal for the uk
they also do a full rifle version with

Thanks for the information.....I'd always assumed (Apparantly wrongly) that it would be a mission to get an airgun sent from the US.

Would I be right in saying that you pay 4% duty and the 20% VAT once the parcel lands...........Did you get any issues from HMRC regarding the fact it was a gun?

no issues with customs at all
it is about 24% you have to pay once it lands wich is about £60
it cost me in total in dollars
    $390 for the gun
$40 for detuning to within uk limits
    $60 shipping
in pounds it cost me a total of £360
    vincent will always help
