    Review. BenjaminTrail NP .22 Hardwood.

Hello to all at Airgun Forum.

I bought a Benjamin Trail, secondhand, virtually brand new, and little used. I had read so much about this gun on the US Airgun Forum, tyhat I thought it would be ideal for a newby, and his 15 year old Grandson. I bought the gun, got a reall good deal, it came with scope, sling and gun bag, I was very pleased. Until I started firing it. !!!
The trigger was its downfall. It was quiet, light, well made, good looking, and did what it said on thew tin. But Oh that trigger, it seemed to pull back for an eternity. More like a 16 stage trigger as opposed to 2. So I browsed through some videos on UTUBE. Boy what a goldmine of information.
After looking at UTUBE, and the US version of Airgun forum, I was convinced to purchase a Charlie Da Tuna GRT3 trigger. What a fantastic change it has made to my gun, its like having a more expensive weapon. Absolutely fantastic change. The trigger is more positive, lighter to pull, effortless, and Sooo Smooth. Definintely the Rolls Royce of triggers. Worth evry penny of the $ 40 dollars it cost me.

    Highly Recommended

    Hi Dave,

I also purchased the same rifle second hand and was advised by the shop owner, ( Scott of Livelines in Armadale Scotland ) that it was traded in because of the trigger action.
The previous owner did not like the trigger action, second stage being too long.
He told me to fit the same trigger kit you have to transform the shooting experience.
Well looks like you are happy with the result, cheers pal and was pulling your leg about the 6.98 grain pellet in your other post LOL.
Although in theory it should work

    Cheers Jim

    Early days.

I too have JUST bought one of these (literally picked it up today), and have only fired a handful of shots so far.

I had previously heard quite a lot about this rifle, and after getting my hands on one at my local gun shop I was sold on it. She's a beauty! Noise levels, power and accuracy are all great, and that stock is VERY comfy. Not a huge fan of the safety, but the trigger hasn't annoyed me yet.

Great advice above if ever it does!

    Happy hunting.
