Had my Huntsman classic a few months now and thought it was time to reveiw it for you guys. Right first impressions were good, perfect beautiful looking walnut stock and the proportions are just right. I bought the airstream mk5 carbon silencer for her right away. I've been using it to hunt with now and can't speak highly enough of it. Very light, perfectly balanced, easy to use no fuss at all and most important deadly accurate. One 200 bar fill gives me more than enough full power shot's for hunting approx 60 it's .177 i believe you get around ten more with the .22 version. As you can see by my sig that i have got some nice guns, but the others don't even come close. I've recently taken rabbits cleanly at over the norm airgun range, this gun is confidence inspiring with it's accuracy and handling. I went to buy the airwolf and came home with this instead and sure glad i did this one will be with me until i depart, a keeper you might say.

I’ve just found what I was looking for, it was where I left it …
Have to say i love mine (especially now that i have the adjustable buttpad on the rear) its usually the first rifle that gets picked out as my "go anywhere" gun, i cant rate them highly enough.
good write up, they do look a great bit of kit
Does anybody know if the latest Mk4 version of the huntsman is regulated, or does it have a noticable power curve ?
I know it has the latest trigger mechanism but not clear if that means it is regulated or something else ?
Looking to pick one up once I move my HW100 on, hopefully sometime soon !
Cheers, Paul
After a lot of soul searching .... I bought one on Sunday. It was a lot of money second hand but I wasn't dissapointed. I had a spare 3-9x50 scope lying around ( it was supposed to be fitted to my webley) and it came with a Harris Bipod fitted. When I got to Mark's house, it was love at first sight!
I bought a pump on Monday and ordered a silencer from Daystate. Haven't been out with it yet or zeroed it, but I put it on the kitchen table and gaze lovingly at it! LOL!!!
Was it worth the money....................Oooooohhhhh YES!

having enjoyed my air ranger these last few months i decided i could do with a somewhat light gun for hunting...the usual suspects were considered but BSA ultra was decided against as too smaller shot count...verminator though nice...i dont really need a take down...considered the brocock contours etc..maybe an airarms superlite...but then i held a huntsman and wow!
its all been said in the previous reviews above so il not go on about how accurate it is...suffice to say that just for a laugh in work yesterday we lined up 10 x.177 pellets at 30yrds and with the magazine loaded (10 pellets)...well you can see were this was going...and yes,all ten pellets hit without a single miss..and thats down to the rifle not my shooting...this gun is so accurate that once zeroed then if its in the x hairs you know that that is what you are going to hit!
the quality is usuall daystate so no point in my saying how good it is as its head and shoulders above anything else out there..my mate has an AA410 and i have to agree its a fine gun...very accurate and about the same weight as the huntsman...but around £300 cheaper....or if you look at it the other way,on paper the huntsman is £300 overpriced...or is it? well..its walnut as opposed to beech(an option on the AA)and its got the harper valving system that gives you such a flat power curve youd swear there isnt a 'curve'...then theres the trigger and that is superb, nice flickable safety for ease of use with thumb...shrouded barrel..a beautiful crafted minelli stock (the italians cant sail cruiseliners but they can build stocks)that is a joy to use..youd really have to hold one to see just how nice it is..so in answer to the extra expence....yes! more than worth the extra, indeed i was considering a daystate mk4 and after alot of thought and soulsearching, even had both on the counter at BAR in front of me...i plumped for the huntsman leaving the electronic wizard for another day...but now having used this rifle both on the range and out in the field i cant see me using any other gun! its light enough to carry all day...the accuracy is without question and coupled with more or less no power curve it puts pellet on pellet on pellet on pellet on pellet on pellet on pellet as easy as that....amazing!
so i think il be keeping this gun for a long long time...indeed cant see me ever changing it or doing anything to it other than shooting/cleaning/polishing and simply looking at it.....beautiful!
what else can i say? go and spend more and buy airwolf etc...your wasting your money...spend less and buy a cheaper gun...wasting your money...but if you want a gun to put a pellet exactly were you want it then buy a huntsman...it isnt cheap...but then again when you look at the cost of some guns then it isnt exactly expensive either but at £739 i cant think of anything else to give so much pleasure on every level
