    Crosman Phantom 1000 .22

After a couple of months research and investigation on a good full power springer I Just bought this gun from the friendly chaps at Coutryway gunshop in Maidstone as my first venture into the world of air rifles. As it's my first experience I suppose I'm not really qualified to say how good it is in comparison to anything else, but let me tell you as a total beginner I love it.
I took it down to the local air rifle club on Sunday and spent a bit of time getting the standard scope sighted in. Using RWS superdomes it didn't take too long at all to get the 20 yard spinner spinning nearly every shot natural skill or a great gun ? I dunno but I didnt even notice everyone packing up as I was so absorbed.
Done a bit of plinking in the garden today when I got home from work and was nailing the centre pretty much every time. I've done about half the tin of 500 and finding it pretty accurate already. A few strays but they're probably down to my skills rather than the gun.

In short any beginner looking to get a good, well priced, great looking full power starter gun I thoroughly reccommend the Phantom.

Country way is my local, Great guys down there, and have reccomended the phantom to me before, before I got my tx. I would save up and get yourself a better scope once you feel your good enough feel with the gun, all depending on what you are going to do of course.

cheers oily, the guys there are very friendly and helpfull. Took a deposit off me and held it for about 3 weeks even though apparently as it was the last one in stock tons of people were asking for it.

Just planning on going down to the local air gun club in Paddock Wood at the minute until I'm confident in my accuracy then I'll be trying to find permissions in the local vicinity, so yep a scope will defo be on the list. I've spotted some nice ones on here that seem to go pretty cheap so probably wont be too long till I upgrade. but the one supplied seems capable of harnessing my limited skills at the minute.

Country way is my local too, highly recommended place, I was going to try and get down to the paddock wood club on Sunday as well, I have been waiting weeks for it to re-open but since getting my local permissions I didnt get a chance. But My cousin on here Luke22 has a phantom.22 and he loves it , its nice an easy to shoot and looks great with a big scope on it, he has just fitted a silencer to it and despite mixed opinions it has quietened it a little but does make the barrel slightly longer, keep on plinking mate

This Sunday they have a comp on at Paddock Wood. You should try and get down there.

It was YOU, I was about to buy that Phantom last week and you turned up. Glad for the comments on it, I have wondered how did that guy get on with the gun so your comments are useful. I have just been phoned by Countryways today and they finally got hold of the sales rep for Crosman and have just bought his last 21 Phantoms. They arrived today, so based on your comments I will likely be there tomorrow. Im new to this myself, so if you have any local info on gun clubs and fancy a natter then give me a call on 01474325159 or 07981573046, or I can call you and pick your brains. Cheers and Enjoy, Glen.

yes that was me, they offered me around the £120 mark for that Webley so its not a lot of cash to get the Phantom.
