AA Pro Sport Bluprint Tune- Project smoooooooooth

Well, I've had the Pro Sport for a week now and initial impressions are very good, very good indeed.........except for the fact that compared to My Lazaglided HW97K, it's still a bit 'Twangy' and unrefined. However, the potential is there for a much better rifle IMO.

So, I've ordered a V Mach Kit for it and have started to develop a little project to Blue Print Tune the old girl. The aim is to get a super slick, super smooth shooting platform by just making sure very single component is working to it's optimum. From Chassis, to trigger, to internals to barrel.

I've stripped it down to its every single component, and whilst waiting for the V Mach kit, have been fettling every single component. Re-assembly will be involving some measuring,de-burring, smoothing, polishing with Jewelers rouge, dry PTFE and other lubricants and attention to detail, plus a fair bit of TLC along the way.

I'll be taking pics along the way and will post them up over time with some explaination of what i'm doing. If it all goes to plan, I'm hoping for minimum Spring force for maximum velocity (Sub 12 f/lbs) and super slick and smooth firing cycle.

    Could be interesting............

Tonight i've been working on the Trigger which is hardly a masterpiece of quality engineering by Air Arms when compared to the rest of the gun. It should now be a much smoother release with better feel.

I'm waiting for the batteries on the Camera to charge and then I can get some piccies up of the rebuild stage by stage.

V Mach Kit should be here this week.

Wasn't the Prosport designed by the same chap that designed the original Webley Venoms?
