    reticule catalogue

    Evening all.
Does anyone have a link to a reticule catalogue ? i keep seeing mill dot , half mill dot. map6, and a hundred others being bandy,d around but i have zero clue what they look like does an offiacial catlogue exist online, even the zeiss site only deals with a few of its own, and is far from comprehensive.
as a bonus question could some one explane to me what the heck a mll dot is supposed to represent ? is it moa at 100 yards or somthing ? cos if so im not seeing how it applies to airguns accuratley. thanks lyn.

I'm pretty sure that a mill dot represents one unit drop at 1000 units. 1 meter at 1000 meters or 1 foot at 1000 feet.

I have seen many reticles state that they are 10x Mil dot so I'm guessing the zoom effects this.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I'm sure this is the case.

It's a bit long winded - but this is the best definition i've found,.......

The work well as alternate aim points if you know the range you are shooting and some of the HFT guys use them for range finding but you need to know the size of your target for that.

One "true" mildot is 3.6 inches at 100 yards. The system was invented for military snipers to range find their targets but became trendy with other shooters who wanted additional aiming marks on the reticle.

A scope that is "true" at 10x mag will have this 3.6" @ 100yds spacing at 10 mag. Zooming does affect it.
